Borro funds £555k loan to overseas resident

Luxury asset lender Borro has completed a £555,000 loan to an overseas resident in just four days.

The loan was secured against two valuable rings owned by a European art collector who faced an unexpected bill and needed to raise funds quickly.

Representatives of Borro travelled to Europe the day after receiving the inquiry, while communicating with partners in London to ensure easy transportation and storage of the rings.

An offer was issued the next business day, with the assets transported to a London storage facility.

Borro’s specialists then confirmed their condition and funds were released to the client the next day following acceptance of the contracts.

Claire Barrington-Jones, director of sales at Borro, said: “Luxury assets have an international market so we understand that not all our clients will be UK based.

“But even in the most complex cases, our ability to offer clients a fast and simple experience does not change.”

Last month, Borro successfully completed a £2.15m loan for the purchase of a London property by a non-dom investor.
