Challenger bank to change name

Challenger bank to change name

Mondo has been legally challenged by an undisclosed company with a similar name resulting in the challenger bank needing to change its title.

After raising £1m in 96 seconds through crowdfunding, the challenger bank is now again turning to the general public to find an alternative name.

Mondo will be accepting name suggestions until midnight Tuesday 14th June, but has set three rules on entries: the name should start with the letter M, it should represent the bank and work across different languages and it can’t be Banky McBankface.

“We’ll go through the whole list, as well as our internal ideas, and narrow it down to find a name that we love,” Bailey Kursar, Head of Marketing at Mondo, stated.

“As soon as we’re ready, we’ll share our choice with you and go all in on ‘M…’”

Mondo will also be offering a special thank you for the person who suggests its new name.
