Property Moose has appointed a former Metro Bank MD as its Executive Chairman.
Darren Schindler was previously Managing Director of Business & Commercial Banking at the challenger bank and has also held several senior roles at Barclays and HBOS.
Andrew Gardiner, Founder and Managing Director at Property Moose, said: “We are really pleased to have Darren on board as Executive Chair, and with his wealth of experience as a driven business leader, we look to continue our fast-paced innovation and development.
“Darren’s joining coincides with a growth in the core team which should underpin our accelerated growth in the crowdfunding Industry.”
The property crowdfunder also revealed that it has secured a further £440,000 of equity funding from a syndicate led by The North West Fund for Digital & Creative, bringing the total raised to date to almost £1m.
Darren said: “Property Moose is continuing to raise funds as the business expands and we hope to develop our property portfolio further.
“This is a growing industry and people are constantly looking for investment alternatives that they can control, which I am confident that we are offering.
“We have aggressive growth plans and I am delighted to be involved in the company to strengthen its position as one of the leaders within the property crowdfunding space.”
Last month, the firm, which is based in Liverpool and has an office in London, launched its first crowdfunding campaign in the capital.
