Reim Capital recruits new head of sales

Reim Capital has appointed Darius Shekarrizi (pictured above) as head of sales.

In his new role, Darius will focus on Reim Capital’s relationships and finding new ways to widen its distribution.

His duties include improving the lender’s sales function and being part of the company’s expansion plans.

He will also be responsible for building a sales team to allow for a smoother broker/client experience.

Darius has 15 years of experience in finance, having worked for a variety of lenders, including Oblix Capital, Octopus Property and, most recently, Lendco.

Darius believes that working with a smaller- to medium-sized lender allows closer broker relationships, which is crucial when dealing with them and their clients.

“Reim Capital has historically worked on a friends and family basis — however, I want to widen its distribution and add key broker firms to its panel, resulting in a greater number of transactions,” he said.

“2020 was a hard year for everyone from a business perspective and in their personal lives, [but] we are starting to see some improvements and, with that in mind, flexibility will be key.

“We saw many lenders either pull back or stop lending altogether last year, but Reim Capital continued to lend with certainty, which I believe is important when choosing a lender partner for your clients.

“Relationships are key in our business and meeting people is always the best way to build and cultivate them.

“However, with all the restrictions in place, this will prove difficult until we are in a more stable position.”

Kunal Vaitha, principal and co-founder of Reim Capital, added: “We are delighted to have Darius [join] the team, and we believe having a sales lead [will] enable us to hit our 2021 goals.”
