Malcom was a former partner of both Deloitte and Ernst & Young and has previously held executive positions in Clydesdale Bank and Prudential UK, in addition to secondments in Nigeria and Mexico.
He currently has a portfolio of non-executive director roles in financial services, including three major insurance companies and a tier-one metals broker.

Malcolm — who is also chairman at one of the UK's top 100 charities, and began his career as a physicist before moving into management consultancy — is set to bring a diverse range of experience in risk, regulation, audit, strategy, corporate governance and technology to the specialist bank.
