Advantedge Commercial Finance hires former Aldermore manager

Advantedge Commercial Finance has appointed Mark Williams (pictured above) as sales director for its Midlands-based operation.

Mark joins the invoice finance provider from Aldermore, where he spent 14 years in sales and business development roles across the Midlands, including business development manager.

Prior to joining Aldermore, Mark started his career at Barclays, where he managed a lending portfolio of 220 clients, before moving to First National and then Bibby Financial Services.

Advantedge has funded over £2bn worth of invoices to UK SMEs and hopes to significantly increase business after the opening of its Midlands office.

Mark will be responsible for developing the lender’s new business presence in the Midlands by building strong relationships with intermediaries and their clients.

He felt that the area was at the heart of the UK’s manufacturing sector.

“Advantedge presented a compelling opportunity which was too good to turn down.

“[It is] at a pivotal point with an exciting growth strategy and a real desire to do business.

“[It has] access to large funding pools and [is] happy to provide funding facilities up to £1.5m.

“I am looking forward to getting on and supporting firms in the Midlands.”

Paul Stokes, regional managing director for the Midlands at Advantedge, added: “We are delighted that Mark has joined the team at such an exciting time for the business here in the Midlands.

“He is well known in the region and has a fantastic reputation for getting deals done.

“His approach is entirely focused on delivering the best facility as quickly and as smoothly as possible for his clients.

“His personable approach supports the relationships that he builds with businesses and their advisers in order to deliver the best financial solutions.”
