Octopus Property has confirmed that Nick McAuliffe has left his position as chief operating officer.

Nick joined the specialist lender in May 2017 from Santander, where he was a programme manager.

Prior to this, he held managing director positions at fellow specialist lenders Wellesley & Co and Shawbrook Bank.

The statement by Octopus Property read: “Nick has made the decision to move on and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

“In the short term, Nick’s responsibilities will be assumed by the senior management team.”

Earlier this month, Octopus Property announced that it was taking a pause on accepting new applications for its BTL products, after it had filled its allocated budget for term funding ahead of schedule.

Octopus Property stated that it was supporting customers impacted by the BTL pause and was working closely with its brokers and clients to arrange replacement loans.
