The Mortgage Lender teams up with L&G Mortgage Club

The Mortgage Lender and Legal & General Mortgage Club have announced that they will be working together to distribute products designed for 'real life' borrowers, including those in Scotland.

The mortgage club has over 80 lenders on its panel and offers intermediaries access to mainstream and more niche products.

Danny Belton, head of lender relationships at L&G Mortgage Club, said it was essential that intermediaries had a wide choice of lenders.

“The Mortgage Lender has an offering that will add value for our club members through its criteria, rates, affordability and new buy-to-let products.

“It also lends in Scotland, which is particularly attractive as this is an underserved area of the market for this type of customer.”

The partnership is the first the Mortgage Lender has announced since its change in brand identity as it looks to commit to “real life lending”.

“We’re delighted Legal & General Mortgage Club members will have access to our products and look forward to helping their customers through lending for real life,” said Peter Beaumont, deputy chief executive at the Mortgage Lender (pictured above).

“Financial hiccups like divorce, lending past retirement and switching to becoming self-employed is just part of real life and we’ve designed products to meet the needs of modern borrowers.”
