He wants to be invisible, doesn’t like fibbers and has a long list for Room 101...Brendan Simpson talks to Lee Carling, the newly promoted Credit Support & Servicing Manager for Dragonfly Property Finance...
Manchester United. My Dad is a Manc, so like most boys I followed my Dad’s team.
Customers who tell fibs.
Invisibility, for all the wrong reasons
6. What was the last film you saw and what did you think of it?
I took my kids to see the new Planet of the Apes film and loved it.
7. What would you put in room 101 if you had the chance?
I would fill it up. My first delivery for the room would include Bad manners, people that spit in the street, litter droppers, people who smell on the train, Formula 1, Big Brother, vegetarians, Sunday drivers. My list is endless.
8. What’s your favourite book?
Anything by Mark Billingham. I love his Tom Thorne detective novels. They are a great beach read.
9. What do you expect to happen in the bridging finance industry over the next 12 months?
Bridging has seen a massive increase in its popularity over the past years and with the activity we are seeing at Dragonfly I expect this will continue. One thing will be interesting to see will be how a lot of the new entrants deal with issues that arise and loans not performing. As they say, anyone can lend money- its getting it back that is the key. I am looking forward to ensuring Dragonfly’s refinances continue at the pace at which they are right now!
10. If you could do anything you wanted this Sunday, what would it be?
I would have a long lie in and only get out of bed to eat a full English breakfast followed a long walk with my dog over the local woods. I would then have a few cold pints in my local whilst watching the football and then walk home to enjoy a traditional roast dinner and a little sleep on the sofa. Bliss.
