10 Questions with... Chris Borwick, Associate at Savills Private Finance

He's been at Savills Private Finance (SPF) for five years and he'd love to have a well-deserved lie-in.
Katie-Jill Rowland speaks to Chris Borwick, Associate at SPF.
1.How long have you been at SPF?
I've been at Savills for 5 years now.
2.What did you want to be when you were a Kid?
I used to want to be a doctor,
B&C: And what happened to that dream?
I realised I didn't like the sight of blood!
3.If you could do anything you wanted this Sunday, what would it be?
I would have a nice lie in. My wife had a baby 3 weeks ago so I have been deprived of sleep!
B&C: Congratulations! Ok.. well you probably deserve a lie-in then.
4.Which football team do you support and why?
Leicester City! That's my home town club so I'm pretty loyal to them.
5.What is the best thing about your job?
The management team encourage you to be entrepreneurial, such as developing the bridging finance part of the business. I enjoy that freedom.
B&C: And the worst thing?
The morning commute. I only have 5 miles to travel but it takes nearly an hour - I should probably start using one of Boris's bikes instead!
6.What would you be doing if you weren’t working at SPF?
Trying to make it as a professional golfer. Although I don't know if I'm good enough to be honest.
7.What’s your favourite movie and why?
The Life of Brian - because it's absolutely hilarious.
8.What do you expect to happen in the bridging finance industry over the next 12 months?
I think that volumes will increase and I expect the number of innovative products to improve as a result.
9.What you put in room 101 if you had the chance?
Bad drivers - London is full of them. Being honest I probably am one myself from time to time...

10. What’s your favourite book ?
Catch 22, an all time classic.
