Ex-Secure Trust head joins Wellesley

Specialist lender Wellesley Finance has hired a quartet of recruits for senior roles, including the appointment of a former real estate finance head of challenger Secure Trust Bank.

Derek Bradstock has joined Wellesley as head of development finance, bringing a wealth of experience having also previously held a directorship role at RBS and NatWest.

Derek will be working towards Wellesley’s ambitious lending plans for the future and will be providing dedicated support to its customers and introducers on development finance from £2m-10m.

Richard Collins and Zahira Fayyaz have also joined the lender as in-house relationship managers for bridging finance on loans up to £5m.

Coming from Barclays Bank, Richard is a highly experienced property lender and will be working with Wellesley’s introducers.

Satvir Kelly has been appointed as associate lending manager as part of the lender’s newly formed lending operations team, which takes approved bridging and development loans from approval to completion.

Having previously worked at Coutts, Satvir is a seasoned lending manager and a specialist in the completions area.

“As a business, we have ambitious plans and are investing heavily in our teams to provide a first-class service with experienced managers who understand our brokers and clients,” said Tom Clark, head of intermediaries at Wellesley Finance.

“It's fantastic to see the team keep growing with several new recruits to join us shortly on top of this – so watch this space.”

Wellesley recently converted its bridging and development departments into three teams, including a new dedicated intermediary division headed up by Tom, providing a one-stop shop for development and bridging finance.

The lender launched its new website in June having previously been under the wing of sister company Wellesley & Co.

Its full bridging range was exclusively revealed to Bridging & Commercial last October.
