Hampshire Trust Bank appoints asset finance MD

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has announced the appointment of a new managing director of asset finance.

Jon Maycock joins from Aldermore Bank, where he was initially the national sales director of asset finance upon his appointment in September 2013, before becoming the commercial director of asset finance.

In his new role, Jon will be responsible for enhancing HTB’s broker and block discounting channels, and will be supported by continued investment in the bank’s IT systems.

Jon said: “I’m excited to join Hampshire Trust Bank at this stage of its growth journey.

“There are a wealth of opportunities that the team here are well positioned to capitalise on and I am looking forward to helping drive the asset finance business forward to the next phase of its development.”

Jon’s appointment is the latest in a string of asset finance hires following the addition of two new underwriters in December.

Mark Sismey-Durrant, chief executive officer at HTB, said: “We have established a successful asset finance business and Jon’s appointment will help us take the next steps in terms of exploring new opportunities in the sector.

“Jon has extensive experience across many facets of the broker and block markets and is a welcome addition to the executive team.”
