Exhibitors and attendees have praised the Finance Professional Show 2015 which took place on Wednesday last week at Olympia, London.

Attendees complimented the event for its organisation, quality of exhibitors and the many opportunties to do business.

The show featured a number of seminars hosted in the Shawbrook Bank Conference Theatre and included an introductory talk from guest speaker Anthony Hilton, Financial Editor of the Evening Standard.

The Shawbrook Bank Cub Hub was busy throughout the day

Neil Molyneux, Head of Sales and Marketing at Masthaven, said the event was extremely well supported and a huge success.

“Not only did we meet existing introducers, but we also made what appears to be extremely useful introductions with several brokers discussing specific cases they wish to place with us,” said Neil.

Laura Carr, Underwriter at Hope Capital said: “We felt it was really well organised and the quality of attendance was high, so we would recommend the event to others.”

Bob Sturges, Head of Communications at Omni Capital, added: “What struck me was the obvious up-lift in spend on a number of stands. Some were very impressive indeed.”

The FP Show saw numerous contacts made, loads of enquiries into future finance and a healthy amount of business done.

“The number and desire of the visitors to participate with the exhibitors and enter into in-depth conversations was definitely evident,” said Jo Breeden, Director of Crystal Specialist Finance.

“Our tangible proof is the number of quality enquiries we received on the day and a list of new, good contacts, plus, of course, the opportunity to catch-up with many of our industry colleagues to discuss the state of the industry.”

Rob Jupp, CEO of Brightstar, added: “Numbers were definitely up on last year and Brightstar are very confident that we can do substantial business from the leads generated specifically from the show.”

James Bloom, Chief Executive of Regentsmead, said: “We had a number of very worthwhile conversations with both introducers and developers including some immediate cases discussed.

“The visitors to our stand were serious people looking to do business and this was reflected in the quality of the discussions.”

Exhibitors made excellent use of the floor space with stands full of freebies, a boxing machine, an air hockey table and even the Premier League trophy.

“The show was the best we’ve attended,” said Stephen Burns, Co-Founder of Adapt Finance.

“A real hall full of - importantly - the right exhibitors, great seminars and educational options, and of course, freebies and sweets.”

All the attendees said they will be returning to FP Show 2016, which is likely to be even bigger and better.
