Alternative finance provider Platform Black has hired Gareth Jones as its new Business Development Manager…

Gareth previously worked as a Regional Sales Manager of Invoice Finance at Aldermore Bank for two years before being hired by Platform Black as a BDM.

Gareth has over 10 years’ experience in banking, relationship management and commercial finance and has worked with other big names such as Barclays and Lloyds.

Gareth joined the team last month after seeing the potential to make a real difference in the market and to deliver a reliable, transparent proposition to clients.

“The fact that all of the process which the business has in place around finance and risk management is controlled in one office is a real draw,” commented Gareth.

“It enables me to provide a speedy response time to the clients I deal with, whilst ensuring a strong level of due diligence.

“Platform Black is also a business which is very much growing, having only been trading since 2012.

“Being a part of an organisation which is innovative and changing the way cash flow is delivered for the better was a huge draw for me.”

While the sales team is managed by Caroline Langron, Managing Director, alongside coverage throughout the country in the South East, North, South West and Wales, the firm is looking to expand.

“With regards to new recruits, Platform Black is always on the lookout for skilled individuals to join the team,” Gareth said.

When asked what exciting plans the firm had in the pipeline for the next six months, Gareth mentioned that they had recently restructured their fee structure in order to make it simpler.

Gareth added: “On an ongoing basis, we are exploring a number of new financial products to support our SME clients. Watch this space!”
