If you were handed your entire pension pot, how would you spend it?

The Chancellor announced a few weeks ago in his final budget that there will be greater pension freedoms which has led to much industry debate, and the Medianett office.

Property, shares, savings. All very sensible options which could potentially yield more money, but what if you decided to blow it all on one thing….  

So for your entertainment, the Weekender has created some prime daydream material with our a top 10 pension pot splurges, so you can imagine what it would be like if you ever had that moment of madness.

One particular flash car driver may be taking out his pension early but if you have been inspired by Mr Clarkson’s supercar antics why not cash out and buy the car of your dreams.

2. Club Wembley tickets

The dream ticket for any sport or entertainment fan.

Club Wembley members enjoy a guaranteed seat for every event at Wembley from the FA Cup final to the latest One Direction concert, (if Zayn’s back, don’t worry, I’m heartbroken too).

Make sure you get on the list soon as the scheme is set to end in 2017 when the Football Association will review the offer.

3. A round the world trip

After years of working in wet and miserable Britain, wouldn’t it be great to escape for a round the world trip?

4. Moving to foreign climbs

Rather than just travelling the world why not stay away from Britain for good!

5. Buying the dream house

You may not have to move to the other side of the world to live in your dream house there are plenty of excellent houses in Britain and Europe which may tickle your fancy.

6. Give it all to the kids

I know what a generous offer you’d have to be crazy! Well that’s what everyone is going to tell you. Maybe we’ll move on from this option.

For all you movie buffs why not splash out on creating your own cinema experience at home with some state of the art surround sound.

A gigantic widescreen TV, speakers around the room and as huge collection of films, what more could you want. (Warning surround sound might not go down so well if you live in a detached property or flat.)

8. Gadgets and gizmos

IPhones, hover mowers, Swiss watches, tablets, why not live the life of James Bond with all the modern technology you can get your hands on.

If you have already splashed out on the super car then this is the perfect combination to make you really feel like 007.

9. Buy a boat

What could be better than cruising around the Med on a speed boat and then parking up in Monaco with a cocktail in hand?

Why not purchase a boat to spend your latter years or if you’re lucky the popular 80s game show Bullseye may return and then you could get one for free!

10. Double or quits

Simple, trip to Vegas, roulette table put the pension on red or black, that’s really how to blow a pension! (Medianett does advise you to gamble sensibly.)
