Roma Finance launches broker service charter

B&C can exclusively reveal that Manchester-based lender, Roma Finance, has launched a new charter which will analyse interactions between brokers and their clients.

Manchester-based lender, Roma Finance, has launched a new charter which will analyse interactions between brokers and their clients.

The charter comes just after the launch of its new website and is part of Roma Finance’s aim to provide a higher quality service for not only brokers and clients but also solicitors and surveyors.

After meeting with a number of brokers and business partners, Scott Marshall, lending director at Roma, said the charter aims to improve clarity between them and their partners.

“To assist our partners further we felt it would be useful to set out our way of working to give extra clarity and confidence to our regular introducers as well as new brokers and their clients,” he said.

“Having built up terrific working relationships with many firms in the bridging sector, defining our service in a Charter is a great way to acknowledge the importance of these relationships and to clearly state how seriously we strive to achieve business goals.

The charter focuses on important areas for brokers such as:

-    No cross-selling agreements
-    Paying commissions by bank transfer the day after completion
-    Extending the same business principles to all parties in the case
-    If necessary, working outside office hours to provide bridging finance to a deadline
-    Meeting every client to understand the transaction and their personal goals
-    Treating all parties to the case fairly and transparently

“Having worked closely with so many brokers over the years, we’ve provided most types of property bridging finance and solved many issues that have arisen along the way whilst delivering a high level of service,” he added.

“With our enquiry levels increasing, our aim is to still provide fast, clear bridging finance and the new Charter will help us to continue to deliver that.”
