Today the FCA has issued a warning relating to a bridging clone company which surreptitiously used details of a CCA registered firm and asked for advanced fees for loans.

The clone, www.bridgingloansfinder.co.uk is claiming to be able to offer loans up to £10 million and compare 75 lenders to give an instant decision.

The cloned company is purporting to be the UK and European Limited side of a FCA registered firm by using mirroring the same registered address.

The FCA stated: “Fraudsters are using or giving out the following details as part of their tactics to scam people in the UK, they are asking for advanced fees for loans which consumers do not receive:

Also purporting to be UK and European Limited (clone of FCA registered firm)

Website: www.bridgingloansfinder.co.uk

The FCA registered firm that fraudsters are claiming to work for, has no association with the ‘clone firm’.  It is registered to provide consumer credit services in the UK and its correct details are:

Firm name: Top 10 Finance Limited

Interim Permission number: 657619

Address: 10 Margaret Street, London, W1W 8RL

Telephone: 0845 123 6004

Website: www.top10finance.co.uk

The FCA reminds consumers to only use financial firms that are authorised by the authority and to check the Financial Services Register and Consumer Credit Interim Permission.
